Denmark in the queue to host a F1 race in 2018

Denmark is the latest country in the queue to host a formula one race. The Danish newspaper Herning Folkeblad said the Nordic country, already with a local driver on the grid in the form of Kevin Magnussen, is eyeing a grand prix debut for 2018.
The report said officials for the project were due to meet Bernie Ecclestone this week, but it has now been delayed until January. "It doesn't matter if a little more time passes before this meeting takes place as we are working to get formula one to Denmark in 2018," said Helge Sander, Denmark's former minister for science, technology and development.
The newspaper said Sander is leading the project and trying to raise capital from major Danish corporations, possibly including Saxo Bank and the fashion brand Bestseller. (GMM)

That could be a fun Gran Prix!! And help recharge the sport near its cradle. These jaunts to Azerbaijan and to the superheated & teetotalign "sand traps" of mid-East, next Qatar after Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, really tax the fan base, which likes to sit on grass and drink beer, etc. What next, Midway Island?? Oh, and it would be nice if France could be re-recruited, Bernie - make the effort!
