Max Verstappen had a big crash during the Monaco Grand Prix. The Dutchmen drove a strong race, after a pit-stop with a problem with one of the wheels, with some great overtakes, but at the end it came sour for the young Dutchmen.
Verstappen drove during braking before Ste. Devote on the back of Romain Grosjean' Lotus, the Toro Rosso ended in a hard way in the tyre barrier. Verstappen was able to get out of the car on his own and looked unharmed, but the first real crash during his Formula 1 career is a fact.
This crash between Verstappen and Grosjean is currently under investigating by the stewards. There is a possibility that there is a penalty pending for either Verstappen or Grosjean, there are speculations that the French driver had braked earlier than normal.

Max is TOO young, the move was a youthful error. The stewards agree.........

Certainly the closing speed between the two cars right before the contact looked a little "funny" on TV, but in the end, the driver following has the responsibility to not run into the car leading. I would write it up as more of a racing incident, but with the way penalties are handed out these days, MaxV needs to take it as a lesson learned and carry on. (In the right car, he could someday be the class of the field.)
