F1Today has learned that Renault will use the majority of their 12 tokens for an updated power unit that is set to be available exclusively for Red Bull and not Toro Rosso.
This weekend will see the French Manufacture's along awaited upgrade, as so far they have yet to update their 2015 Engine. The updates mainly lie with the internal combustion engine and also some small changes to the turbo. Most importantly, the new Power Unit has passed a full cycle on the dyno, which guarantees it's reliability.
Renault will allow Red Bull to decide whether they will use it or not, if do, then they will incur a Grid Place Penalty for the US Grand Prix.

By now I sincerely doubt Red bull will take the upgrade, unless they do it to please Renault in order to keep their PU. But Im not sure.

it depends how much extra power the new unit brings. I would split the drivers in both teams, grant no1 driver the new engine.
