Seems like nobody bothered to say Alonso fractured a couple of ribs, that don't heal in 2 weeks... Might be ok for the next race.

But it will be great to see Vandoorne in action :)
Only yesterday I said it will be sad not to see him anymore in GP2... I have a lot of respect for Alonso so I did not wish for this ;)

I agree, it's not the way to get a drive but opportunities are scarce and I'm sure he will do Alonso proud.

    • Yeah, not the way we wanted him to debut, but he sure looks promising, so Im sure he'll do fine! Will be fun to see him race!

Just saw a picture of Vandoorne his MP4-31 with the Belgian flag next to his name, nice...
I hope to see more of that in the not so distant future ;)

Alonso seems to be very supportive to help Vandoorne so a lot of respect for him.
Really looking forward to this race, could be very interesting in many ways.
