Nico Rosberg won today's Russian Grand Prix. The german driver dominated the race from start to finish, scored the fastest lap time, and has now won seven consecutive races. Rosberg is now tied with the likes of Michael Schumacher in terms of most consecutive race wins.

The race began in a very chaotic fashion, when Red Bull driver Kvyat hit Ferrari's Vettel twice in the rear while also colliding with team mate Ricciardo. Haas' Gutierrez collided with Force India's Hulkenberg, and Manor driver Wehrlein drove into Sauber's Ericsson. Both Vettel and Hulkenberg were forced to retire, while Kvyat, Ricciardo, Gutierrez, Wehrlein and Ericsson were forced to do early pitstops. Kvyat and Wehrlein were penalized with 10 second stop and go penalties, while Gutierrez recieved a drive-through penalty. Ricciardo and Kvyat struggled to get heat into their medium tyres, and finished 11th and 15th respectively.

Mercedes driver Hamilton struggled at first to get past Williams' Bottas, but grabbed the chance when Alonso held Bottas back, and despite getting a decrease in water pressure midrace, Hamilton managed to finish 2nd. Bottas finished 4th, while his team mate Massa finished 5th.

McLaren scored a double points finish, with Alonso in 6th and Button in 10th. Meanwhile, Renault driver Magnussen impressed when he managed to finish in 7th, and Haas' Grosjean finished 8th despite struggling the entire weekend with getting heat into the tyres. And despite getting a puncture at the beginning of the race, Force India's Perez managed to get into 9th place.

Red Bull's sister team Toro Rosso had a disappointing weekend, as Verstappen, while running in 6th, were forced to retire when his Ferrari unit failed. Sainz were also running in the points, but after forcing Renault driver Palmer off the track he recieved a 10 second penalty, and were later overtaken by McLaren's Button for 10th place.
