Seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher is reacting to treatment according to former Ferrari boss Luca Di Montezemolo.
Since suffering a life-threatning skiing accident in December 2013 updates on Schumacher's health have been scarce, but his former boss and friend Di Montezemolo has now shed some light on the German's condition.
"I’m very pleased to know that he is reacting," he was quoted by The Express as saying.
"I know how strong he is. I’m sure that thanks to his determination, which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation. And I really hope."
"He was an important member of the (Ferrari) family and for me it’s difficult to separate Michael as a driver from Michael as a friend," he added.
Another former Ferrari colleague, current FIA president Jean Todt, also paid tribute to the former champion's determination, saying how he would go the extra mile to ensure he was the best driver he could be.
"He was very talented, very hard working and humble," said Todt. "I remember every new year before the championship started he was always asking me to do private testing alone to make sure he was still a good driver. This is a demonstration of how he was."
Schumacher suffered life-threatening head injuries in a skiing accident on 29 December 2013. After being in a medically-induced coma for six months, Schumacher, now 47, returned to his home on the shores of Lake Geneva where he has reportedly been receiving round the clock medical attention since.

I wont believe in anything but confirmations made by Kehm or the Schumacher family.

Indeed, you would think people like Di Montezemolo would know better...

This must be some kind of hobby he and Briatore has in common. Spouting nonsense 24/7.

well at least cross fingers Michael is improving indeed. So sad to know that the great driver he once was, now is struggling that much just to be able to live the life as a individual.
