Technology giant Apple has been linked with a buyout of Formula One.

The American firm is the latest in a long line of names connected to a buyout of CVC's majority stake in the sport's commercial rights.

'Apple Insider' responded to the rumours by saying that they were "unable to nail down details, or indeed procure any concrete information beyond hearsay".

Business Insider added that "There's no solid evidence to support these rumours at this stage", adding that buying F1 would be an "unusual" move for Apple, who have yet to show any interest in spending billions on a sports-related company.

Rumours of the purchase are saying that Formula One could help Apple's new car project, while boosting the Apple TV service.

Both Apple and Formula One group declined to comment.

  • Apple is only in the business of making unreasonable profits off of the their stupid user base of sheep. F1 becoming more costly than it already is only leads to the sports accelerated death. F1 isn't anywhere near as profitable as Apple's current businesses.

Apple doesn't need more advertisements either, their fanboys are doing it for them.
