Nico Hulkenberg will certainly move to Renault in 2017, according to Auto Bild in Germany.

The publication also revealed that both Jolyon Palmer and Kevin Magnussen were set for the door, with a Frenchman set to lineup alongside Hulkenberg.

Esteban Ocon, who served as a test driver with the team, is the clear favourite, but he could also be in line to replace Hulkenberg at Force India thanks to his Mercedes links.

Red Bull junior Pierre Gasly and Ferrari tester Jean-Eric Vergne are also thought to be on the French team's radar.

Former F1 driver-turned-pundit pundit Marc Surer backed Hulkenberg's impending move to Renault.

"Renault will be strong in the coming years, while on the other hand the future of Force India, because of financial question marks, is rather uncertain," he said. "So I see Hulkenberg as better off with Renault."

Palmer is closer to dropped, than KMAG.

    • Palmer is another overhyped guy just because he is British. The only british driver worth talking about is Jensen, everyone else is a waste of time. Yes that includes gangsta boy at Merc

    • Hehe I do agree that Jenson is the nr 1 British driver (then again Im his fan so... biased much? ;), but it does seem like Renault want to replace Palmer. Not sure how pleased Hulk will be with Renault though, works team or not.
