Nico Rosberg has hinted that he would like to embark on an acting career now that his time in Formula One is at an end.

Speaking to AFP news agency, the recently-crowned world champion said that now his time racing is over, he'd like to turn his hand to acting,

"Yes, I’d like to," he replied when asked if he'd consider a Hollywood career. "I know several actors in Germany so perhaps one day, that’d be cool."

"I already have some experience because as a driver you have to shoot a lot of commercials," he added. "I’d quite like to be an ‘action hero’!"

Despite the Formula One season, and with it Rosberg's top-flight career now over, the former-Williams and Mercedes driver has yet to have time to sit down and enjoy his success, something he plans to do over the festive period.

"The first proper free time I’ll get will be Christmas," he admitted. "It’s exciting as it’s a new chapter in my life, and a big change too. It will be great to see what comes up next but spending more time with my family is the top priority right now."

"We’ll be in Ibiza, with the Christmas tree, the family dinner and the turkey! Then, I’ll look at new projects where I can show my commitment but that’ll wait until the New Year."

I wish him luck, it will be a challenge for him as he sure didn't act like a F1 champion.

When's the next James Bond coming? Great opportunity for him to make a speedy escape from imminent death. Too bad there's no room for the Bond girl this time, but maybe they can find a double seater somewhere.
