A photograph of Michael Schumacher in hospital following his live-changing skiing accident in 2013 has been offered for sale for one million Euros.

Reports in Germany state that the image was taken in "close proximity" to the seven-times world champion who suffered a near-fatal brain injury after falling while skiing in the French Alps with his son Mick on 29 December 2013.

"An unknown person has offered to publish secretly made photo shoots of Michael Schumacher for high amounts of money for the publication," RTL quotes, via VIP.de.

Recently, Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm quashed any hope of an official update of Schumacher's condition, insisting that it is "not a pubic issue".

"Michael's health is not a public issue, and so we will continue to make no comment in that regard," she said in a statement on Saturday. "We have to protect his intimate sphere. Legally seen and in the longer term, every statement related to his health would diminish the extent of his intimate sphere."

I'm sure everyone would like know how he's actually going but that's just disgraceful. Leave him be.

    • No you don't have the need or right to know, he is not your relative. People like you are the main problem. Entitled attitude about everything.

    • I think you misunderstood him: he said everyone would like to know, not that everyone need to know or have the right to know. Nothing entitled about that.

    • @CALLE.ITW, think of it from the family's pov. If I were Mick I'd want to smack every last one of these nobodies asking about my father's condition. Everyone knows what happened.

Now what is it to them if they know the condition now? Can they help change his condition? No? Then shut the blabber trap and move along.

The Schumacher family is being harassed especially by social media, so called 'public' who wants to know. This is not politics where the public have a right to know.

    • Exactly, and none of us has said we have the right to know. Some of us want to know/wish they knew how he is faring (I dont), but that doesnt mean they feel "entitled" to know, or that they think the Shumachers must keep the public updated about it.
