Force India have had an application for an advancement on pay money blocked ahead of the new season.
Teams normally receive pay for their earnings from the previous season in May, however budget limited Force India applied to Bernie Ecclestone for an early payment.
The deal was blocked by Haas who reportedly voted against it.
Force India have never had the most luxurious budget, and finished fourth in last season constructor standings, their best ever finish.
"Auto Bild has learned that (American F1 team) Haas refused to give approval for the advanced payment, although all the other teams gave the green light," the report added.

Oh? A petty attempt to slow down a competitor, perhaps?

If it's within the rules how can it be petty?

Nothing petty about it. Well within the rules, or they wouldn't have a choice, would they?

Good choice. Why help a competitor out? It's not kindergarten.

If it is 'just in advance' then why aren't the owners helping out? Yhey have plenty. FI could pay the money back when the payments start in May.
