As Haas prepare to take part in their second year of Formula 1, Romain Grosjean say that he is happy to be paired alongside "experienced" team mate Kevin Magnussen.
Magnussen has already raced for two works teams (McLaren and Renault) and now makes the move to Amercian outfit Haas. Grosjean pointed out that testing was going to be an important point of the year for the team.
"Testing is going to be key for the team, and that’s where we’re going to share the most," explained Grosjean. "On the racetrack you always want to beat your teammate. He’s got the same car as you, so he’s your benchmark.
"On the other hand, from every team I’ve been with so far, the data and everything has been open and that works pretty well, especially for a new team and especially with a new car."
The Frenchman said that despite not knowing Magnussen very well, he is confident that the two will get along swimmingly as they try to push Haas up the pecking order.
"It’s going to be great to have him on board. He brings good experience from McLaren and Renault that’ll be very valuable. I don’t know him very well for now, but I’m sure after winter testing and the first few races that won’t be the case anymore and we’ll get along well."

He's just glad that his team mate is in his league. Actually a bit worried about that specific driver pairing it just doesn't seem inspiring. The demise of Grosjean throughout the 2016 was interesting to watch. Maybe a perfect match for the team on capability.

Great paring! Both drivers are total different personalities, with the Kmag being Scandinavian cool, Grosjean having the Southern temperament, but both very aggressive drivers if the car is set up the right way.
Looking forward following them through the 2017 campaign.
