FIA to inspect suspension systems after today's test

The FIA have confirmed that they will look into suspension systems at the Barcelona pre-season test, determining what is legal and what is not.
Ferrari previously lodged a complaint against Mercedes and Red Bull, as they thought that their systems breached the regulations. The FIA have since released a new rules clarification.
However, Auto Motor und Sport has reported Formula 1's governing body will make a round to all teams after today's test, inspecting the suspension systems before deeming their legality.
"The clarification is a basis for the stewards in disputes," an FIA source is quoted as saying. "Whether a suspension is in conflict with that clarification will then be (decided) on a case by case basis."
"Everyone can use what they want," said FIA race director Charlie Whiting. "But it would be foolish to test something which cannot be used in Melbourne."
"The teams asked us if we are satisfied with the function of certain components and we answered yes or no. Now they have to prove it to us."

"Everyone can use what they want," No, Whiting dear, they cannot, thats what regulations are for. Either way, will be interesting to see whether they'll deem this new suspension as an illegal thing or not.

Yes, they can. The regulations are not in effect during testing sessions..

Technically not, but its pointless to test something that'll be illegal in the season.

Like RENAULT when they used an illegal mounting on the rear wing. The FIA helps people in their understanding of the rules and points out the issue. Surely it should be up to the FIA to determin if a F1 car is legal. Sounds like of sportmanship from Ferrari. Maybe something else is going here...
