Kevin Magnussen has declined comments that 2017 is his last chance in Formula 1. The Dane enters his third season, racing for his third team after stints at McLaren and Renault.

Last week, a prominent British outlet was highly critical of the Dane, declaring that a 'third chance' is rare in F1. Magnussen dismissed the attack, stating he believes he deserves to be in F1.

"I have no real comment," he told Denmark's BT newspaper. "I feel that I deserve to be in Formula 1, and of course I am happy to be here at Haas. It's nice to come into a team that really wants me -- because they think I fit well and can contribute something positive. Haas is the best experience out of the three seasons I have been in F1," Magnussen said.

The fact that he is there is proof that he does. Not withstanding that there might be better drivers out there. F1 has allways been a weird mix (talent vs money)

He's not really a driver that I find exiting to watch. We will see if he is there next year.

His father was pretty much the same. Promised much but delivered little. Funnily enough, they both felt 'entitled'. I hope he succeeds but I don't believe he has enough 'work ethic' to survive...

It is quite funny that Renaults comments on Kewins "work ethics" suddenly popped up AFTER his rejection of Renaults lousy 1 year contract.
Bytheway: In his 1st race for McLaren he was on the podium in Australia with a 2nd place.
I havent seen either Button or Alonzo being able to redoing that in the McLaren.
    so..
