Daniil Kvyat remains focused on claiming a world title in Formula 1 despite a disappointing 2016 season. Kvyat was dropped by Red Bull after the 2016 Russian Grand Prix, and was demoted back to Toro Rosso.

The move had a highly negative effect on Kvyat as his mood and attitude around the paddock became very gloomy and depressing. The Russian recaptured some form towards the end of the season, most notably at the Singapore Grand Prix where he won an on-track battle with his Red Bull replacement Max Verstappen.

Despite the overall poor season least year, Kvyat remains focused on his goal to become an F1 world champion: "What happened last year I’ve left in a drawer and will not remove it until I need to. I am very prepared to face this season."

"My goal is to fight for the title someday. I don’t know when or with what team, but I want to have a car good enough to go for the title.

"What team it will be, that’s another story. It’s too early to talk about it. Now I’m with Toro Rosso and I want to give my 100%. That’s what I will do right now and what I will enjoy."

Yes Danill, enjoy to ride. However I think it will be hard to get in a championship winning CAR under the RedBull umbrella. So you will need to change team and hope that you get lucky like Jenson Button which got a car under that allowed him to fight for the championship.
