Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton had a difficult day at the office as he spent much of the afternoon lacking grip. He was clearly disappointed on the podium and referred to the lack of grip yielded by his Pirellis.
"Firstly a big congratulations to Ferrari and Sebastian, they did an amazing job this weekend. It's been a great weekend for us and the team but just in the race struggled with the tyres towards the end. I mean, I had to stop a lot earlier than these guys because I just run out of grip."
Prior to the start of the season, some feared that the new regulations would hinder overtaking and the Briton referred to this when discussing his inability to pass the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel.
"I pitted and then I got stuck behind one of the Red Bulls but that's sometimes the way it goes. What a great race, good points for the team".

Wolff is going to regret lack of his support for Nico Rosberg after Abu Dhabi soon.
This would be much easier if Nico qualified 2nd and defend Lewis's back from Seb or vice versa, something Bottas wasn't able to do ...
But if Lewis doesn't win any more races, i'm cool with it
