Daniil Kvyat says that despite only completing four timed laps in today's two practice sessions, there was still some interesting information gathered. Practice was hindered due to the low lying mist around Shanghai which meant that the medical helicopter could not land at the designated hospital.
Kvyat comes to China on the back of a positive first race weekend for the team, as they secured a double points finish. Kvyat thanked his team for the hard work put into today's effort.
"I'd like to thank all the engineers and mechanics, they were extremely busy today! Okay, of course it's a real pity that we were only able to complete a few laps in the morning and none in the afternoon."
The lack of running and "unstable" conditions could throw up a very unpredictable race according to the Russian.
"Surprisingly, we were still able to get some interesting information and tomorrow, if it's dry, we need to be very alert, try to have a clean programme and complete as many laps as possible. The forecast for the rest of the weekend is quite unstable, so we will see what happens – it could be an interesting race!"
