A man in Germany has been handed a suspended sentence after attempting to blackmail Michael Schumacher's wife, threatening that he would kill her children.

The man demanded €900,000 to be delivered to him and stated that if he did not receive the money, he would commit the murders of the Schumacher children, Gina-Maria and Mick. In an email, he said: "If the money is not received by March 31, your children will be killed in some way or other. In Formula 4, a lot of accidents happen."

At the time, Mick Schumacher was competing in Formula 4. The email was reported to authorities immediately, and the culprit even left his own personal bank details in the email, making the investigation a relatively unchallenging one.

The man, known as Huseyin B for privacy reasons, said that he "can't until this day explain why" he acted how he did. He was handed a suspended sentence of one year and nine months, ordered to carry out 50 hours of community service and undergo therapy.

  • Oh look at that felon's name guess where this trash came from? Yup the same trash Europe's moron liberals have been welcoming with open arms. These medieval barbarians should be left to rot in the hell hole they came crawling out from.
