Bernie Ecclestone has lashed out at Liberty Media, as the 86-year-old disagrees with a number of decisions that the new owners have made to the sport. Since their acquisition of Formula 1 in January, Liberty Media has tried to connect with fans, enabling more attractions at races and opening up the strict social media limitations that were in place.

Ecclestone was ejected from his thrown when the new owners took over and was replaced by the trio of Chase Carey, Sean Bratches and Ross Brawn. He old Germany's Welt am Sonntag newspaper that the men are already doing "things I would never do or never would have done". One of them, said the Brit, is the new emphasis on social media.

"I have never been convinced of this kind of communication because I do not believe it makes a good contribution to Formula 1. Formula 1 is now run like a branch of Starbucks, with someone else always throwing milk into the coffee."

He's done great things for the sport and really brought it to the next level but right now the people arround him should really protect him from himself. Silly comments since the sale. its becoming a bit like the ld man that thinks about the past only..
