Former CEO of Formula 1 Bernie Ecclestone believes that Ferrari has designed a better car than Mercedes in 2017. Since 2014, Mercedes has dominated the sport, comfortably winning three consecutive driver and constructor standings.
With the aerodynamic regulations shake up in 2017 Ferrari has produced a car capable of challenging the Silver Arrows for the title. Currently, the Maranello based team lead both driver and constructor tables after six rounds of the world championship.
"Ferrari now has the better car and is making a very strong impression," 86-year-old Ecclestone said. "They need to be careful at Mercedes." Reffering to the Monaco Grand Prix, Ecclestone said: "When Raikkonen led the race from Vettel, I immediately said to my guests 'The two Ferraris won't be in this order at the finish'. That much was clear."
A Ferrari driver has not won a world championship since 2007 when Kimi Raikkonen secured his one and only title. The team themselves hasn't won the constructor's trophy since 2008, beating McLaren and BMW Sauber for the top spot.

The better car, but I still think Mercedes has the superior engine. What worries me is that Ferrari has apparently already used more PU parts than Mercedes.

LOL Load of horse shit, Mercedes is still the fastest car, Vettel is just simply the best and there is not a damn thing anyone can do about it when Vettel suddenly gets a Ferrari that is actually better this year. Mercedes would like play this nonsense about being the 'underdog', what they first need to do is admit their drivers are just turds in comparison.
