Nico Hulkenberg has spoken out saying he would welcome Fernando Alonso at Renault next season. After Alonso stated he would leave Mclaren if they do not start winning soon, Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg would love Alonso to partner him
"I think it would be great," the German said. Alonso would bring even more experience to that team that has struggled in term of results but are higher in the championship standings than Alonso’s current team.
"It would be great not only for the whole team but for me as well to compete with one of the best drivers in the world. I could learn a lot from him and without a doubt, Fernando would be a huge boost for the whole Renault project."
Hulkenberg also said he was "very impressed" with how competitive Alonso was at the recent Indy 500: "I think the example of Alonso at Indy and also my Le Mans adventure with Porsche showed that the driver level in Formula 1 is very high," he said.

I don't think Renault would pay the big bucks for FA, and FA will demand this, because the car quick, but not race winner..............Vettel won't want him at Ferrari and MB and RB have no seats..unless Bottas doesn't perform, which isn't likely....I would say Renault won't pay big enough bucks to attract him and FA won't take a pay cut to drive a Renault...

For Renault it would be good news. Getting a big name to their team would be a moral booster. However its expensive to have FA in your team, and FA demand a race winning car, and Renault has said that they are not ready to provide him with one yet.
