Toto Wolff has labelled Esteban Ocon as a superstar of the future. The 20-year-old received high praise after his drive in Canada where he battled teammate Sergio Perez. The team faced a conflict when Ocon requested that Perez let him by to attack Daniel Ricciardo for the final spot on the podium.
Perez didn't move over, meaning that Ocon had to settle for sixth place after he was overtaken by Sebastian Vettel in the final laps. Ocon, who is a Mercedes junior driver, impressed Wolff with his race in Canada.
"Force India could have done many more points," Wolff said after the race in Canada. "He did a great race. Really fantastic for his first season. He's developing just in the right way, he's going to be a superstar of the future."
Ocon has finished every race he's started in, making his debut in Belgium 2016 for the Manor team, who have since fallen off the grid. The 2015 GP3 champion has also scored points in every race this year, excluding Force India's disappointing Monaco.

Fabulous performance by Ocon at Canada last weekend. An aggressive, but he also gave a well controlled demonstration on his part. I think that he has a better shot at winding up on a top time, rather than Perez.
