Sebastian Vettel to face no further action

The FIA has announced that Sebastian Vettel will not face any more action over the incident with Lewis Hamilton in Baku. Today in Paris, the governing body discussed whether the German should indeed be hit with another sanction to follow on from the 10 second stop/go he received in Azerbaijan after swiping into the side of Lewis Hamilton.
It was highly anticipated that Vettel would be disqualified from the classifications in Baku, or even receive a race ban for the Austrian Grand Prix. The FIA said in a statement Vettel had "admitted full responsibility" and "extended his sincere apologies to the FIA and the wider motorsport family. In light of these developments, FIA President Jean Todt decided that on this occasion the matter should be closed."
Vettel now keeps his lead top of the driver standings, leading rival Hamilton by 14 points despite not climbing onto the top step of the podium since Monaco. In Baku, Vettel finished fourth and ahead of Hamilton after the Brit had a loose headrest, causing him to pit and change it.
This is the second time in under 12 months that Vettel has avoided a meeting with the International Sports Tribunal. At the Mexican Grand Prix in 2016, Vettel shouted profanities at race director Charlie Whiting during the race after he was unhappy with the driving of Max Verstappen. Despite coming under fire post race, Vettel escaped without a penalty after he apologised to Whiting and the FIA.

I thought he deserved further punishment, but I trust the system and if they thought appropriate to leave it alone, I agree.
However, it has to be said how incredibly immature and stupid Vettel has become over the years. I am pretty sure that if he had apologize immediately after the race non of this would have happened.

Is there any mechanism on this site to control Trolling? I prefer to read insightful comments on articles rather than some of the inflammatory & unpleasant comments that seem to appear on a regular basis. Is a shame as some folks have quite well thought out points to make.

So let's see if I got this right, anyone who doesn't get in line and kiss Hamilton's feet for everything he does is a 'troll' right? Great fanboy logic. The biggest trolls in here are that merc dirt bag's fans, perfect example: you.

this makes sense. 3 more points on his superlicense and he has a ban and everyone wants the championship top come down to a proper battle. including me a hamilton fan

Good, hopefully this will have taught Hamilton that Vettel is even less likely to roll over and take his nonsense than Rosberg. But without a doubt that little sheltered (his whole life) Hamilton will now try push Vettel again to try get him to snap and be disqualified

I think it´s good that he faces no more penalties. The problem he´s now facing is that he can´t be not that aggressive any more as he was in Spain after the pitstop for example..
Let´s see how it turns out..

It is a bit odd - had it been another driver, like Ocon, Magnussen, Perez etc the would had have further punishment.....just because itis Vettel he gets away with it

Not necessarily, but then again, Hamilton has gotten away with things like these several times, so I guess they are at least even in their favouritism.
