Renault is targeting a move up to fifth place in the constructor standings by the end of the season, despite currently sitting eighth, 19 points away from its target. Williams occupies fifth in the standings as of before the Austrian Grand Prix.

The team appear to be in a tight battle with Haas, who lie just above Renault in seventh. With Jolyon Palmer yet to score points in this year's championship, Cyril Abiteboul has stated that he believes it is possible that the team can reach the goals that have been set out.

"Our goals are unchanged for the summer break," the Frenchman said. "We will be sixth and at the end of the season, we aim for fifth place in the constructors. It is crucial that we gather up the pieces after Baku, stick together and regroup.

"It is important that we finish in Austria this weekend with both cars in the points. We need to regroup and together work hard to achieve our goals. Concentration is required and it is important to stay positive, both in the run-up to the Grand Prix and during the weekend."

    • No, I too doubt the likeliness of that.

If you substitute deadweight-Palmer for someone like Kubica, they might, if they're lucky. Otherwise not a chance!

i think the car could be able to do so. The big concern in this sense is Palmer. Hulk is performing well i think except his mistake in Baku.. So let´s wait and see..
