Sergio Perez has said that he is not ready to commit to Force India for 2018, admitting that the driver market for next season is looking very interesting. Perez could have been driving for Renault in 2017, however, declined an offer from the team last year.
"It's too early to talk about it," said Perez when talking to Spain's Marca at the British Grand Prix. "But for now I have no contract with anyone next year. Today we know that in formula one you can only win with Mercedes or Ferrari. Ferrari is perhaps the best team, but obviously we have to see what the possibilities are. Probably in August or September I will have a clearer picture," he said.
McLaren driver, Fernando Alonso, recently said that the driver market for 2018 is more wide open than it seems, and Perez did not deny this. "There are many options this year. Probably more than in previous years. It will be an interesting market because there are many possibilities."
Sergio Perez currently lies in sixth place in the Drivers' Championship, five points ahead of Max Verstappen who is his nearest challenger. For 2018, Perez has been linked to a number of teams, including Ferrari and Renault, and will without doubt be eyeing up a competitive seat for next season.

while a good driver im expecting his attitude will be a deciding factor in where he will go. I dont think he will reach higher than Force India. He is good and competative where he is.

If Ferrari dump Kimi, a lot of drivers can move around. Otherwise, nothing much will change.

Perez to Ferrari?! ROFLMAO talk about daydreaming of the worst kind. This turd was not able to perform at Mclaren when it counted, no top team should take this guy unless it is as a clear number two even then why Perez plenty of other options out there who are just as mediocre or better.

MCLARENFAN1968, are you on the same planet watching the same F1? seriously he's probably as fast as Hamilton, have you seen his results, amazing and consistant in a slower car, even against his new highly rated team mate? If anyone deserves the seat SP does, he's as quick or quicker than anyone else at the moment.

Talktohenry: mate I wouldn't bother answering this guy who, it seems, is incapable of discussing, debating or even making a point without extreme invective. Example: Monisha is clearly not a wh0re whatever you think of her business practice and Perez is surely not a 'turd'.He has far too much to say without a single constructive statement. Let he be gone.

Pérez really deserves a chance with a winning car. However, the way things are going Force India might be the best option.

He surely deserves a better drive, McLaren in 2013, a long time ago, he has clearly showed he has matured into a top driver.... Definitely deserves another shot at a top seat, probably not available though...
I'm saying he ends up at Renault, back with Hulk....
