Next weekend, the Formula 1 paddock will travel to Hungary to compete in the final race of the season before the summer break. Coming into the race, Red Bull will very much be hoping for a strong result as it should suit them more than most other circuits.
Red Bull has finished on the podium at every race in Hungary since 2013, coming out victorious in 2014 where Daniel Ricciardo picked up his second career win. His teammate Max Verstappen is looking forward to the race, labelling it a great track.
"It's a bit early to say how we will get on in Hungary, but we're constantly making progress and looking at how we can improve the balance and add more downforce to the car," he said. "Fortunately, the Hungaroring does not contain too many straights.
"It's a great track, especially in a Formula One car. It's actually quite narrow and because you get high speeds, it's very fun to drive so I'm very much looking forward to this race. I don't want to call Monaco without walls, but the circuit is definitely narrower than the other ones we visit."
The new generation of F1 cars are much wider and have more grip, something that Verstappen say may affect driving styles around the circuit: "We've got more grip this year, so maybe we have to use different lines than last year, but that's all right. That's pretty straightforward."
