The Italian press has lashed out at Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel after a disastrous Singapore grand prix. The Italian team and boss Maurizio Arrivabene blamed Max Verstappen for the first corner crash that wiped out both Ferraris on Sunday.
As a result, Vettel's points deficit to Lewis Hamilton blew out to 28 points. The partisan Italian press knows where to look for blame. "Ferrari did everything wrong," declared La Gazzetta dello Sport. "The red cars destroyed themselves in a way that even the best horror movie director could not imagine."
The front page of Corriere dello Sport declared: "No, Vettel! Not like that! The first 300 metres in Singapore was one of the most catastrophic events for Ferrari in the last decade." Tuttosport added: "A catastrophic accident drowns Maranello's world title hopes. In a few seconds an entire season is destroyed." And La Stampa said: "Hamilton can now walk to the world title." (GMM)

F**k the Italian press! They've done way more harm than good over the years pertaining to Ferrari's chances of winning.
Ferrari basically did everything right, and depending how you look at it retired due to a fluke, or Verstappen being overzealous.

Wins 4 WDCs and then does this.... Rookie mistake! All that hard work at the factory to improve the car and then he goes "all in" at the first corner :(

Those italians have it right. They are maybe hard but watch the aeral footage again. Verstappen didn't even touch Vettel's car... I don't see where he could've go.

No one is solely to blame for this accident, but with Verstappen, there is always an accident hanging in the air. I have some sense of unease wherever and whenever he is involved in anything. He is too much of a hothead. He is talented, no doubt about it, but he needs to chill out a bit.
Hard(er) to imagine all this happening had Ricciardo been in his place.

Xoya: do you have shit in youre eyes? No one solely to blame????? Watch the video footage you morron. Vettel and Kimi (dumb and dumber) totaly crashes in to verstappen. And it's not the first time this year Vettel does a distruction derby race. Or don't you remember that he crashes in to Hamilton's car and after that he bangs his car in to Hamilton's side.
It's Vettel who's world champion unworty. I hope that German hothead loses the championship.

So you're Max's brother, apparently, or you have a 10% cut off of his pay, judging by the zeal with which you are defending him.
FIA judged the same regarding this incindent.
It's a racinfg incident and everythig happened in a split second, you just cannot expect human being to react in that time.

If you know you play with dynamite, you don't strike a match. And that is what Vettel did. do you really think Max has any respect left for this complainer on the radio, with 7 points penalty already. He digged his own world champions grave. Farewell Vettie.

There is something about Ferrari self-destructing that I find particularly satisfying. Especially after the horrendous display of arrogance in Italy. Before the actual race of course.
