Williams driver Felipe Massa has said he is only talking to Williams for a seat in F1 next year. Williams have been testing both reserve driver Paul Di Resta and free agent Robert Kubica in recent weeks in order to finalise their driver line up for next season, with Lance Stroll already guaranteed for one of the seats.

Massa had retired at the end of last season to step aside for Lance Stroll but the shock retirement of Nico Rosberg left a seat open at Williams for Massa, which he gladly took up, and now is hopeful of a fifth year with the team. There is said to be disagreement within the team however on who should drive next season, with some keen on Massa but others sold on the idea of a new driver.

Massa said this on his prospects for next season: "To see them test in the way they did is not a concern for me. Truly not. The team knows very well what I can bring to them, and I proved it again this year. I have let the team know my intentions to continue, but it's not my decision.

"To be honest, I haven't had any recent discussions with Williams executives for now I'm focusing on the last four races, waiting to see if I will come back or not. I do not have any talks with other teams, anyway, there are no good seats available elsewhere. Hopefully I will know before my home grand prix in three weeks"
