Leclerc to partake in two day test with Sauber

Charles Leclerc has confirmed that he will once again be behind the wheel of the Sauber C36 this week. The 2017 Formula 2 champion, who is a strong contender for a race seat with the Hinwil-based squad for 2018, will drive the car with prototype Pirellis attached.

The test will be done on unmarked tyres, meaning Sauber and Leclerc will not know what compound he is running on. Pirelli is gathering information on the tyres that are set to be a step softer in 2018. Force India has also confirmed it will be present at the test, with Alfonso Celis taking control of the VJM10.
