Romain Grosjean says he is happy at Haas. The Frenchman is often heard complaining about his car on the radio, but he is set to race for the new American team for the third consecutive season in 2018.

"We're growing up together," Grosjean, 31, told RMC as he talked about his forthcoming cook book. He said he has no intention of pulling the plug on his F1 career any time soon. "I have the advantage of having started my career in F1 at 27, and now I'm 31," Grosjean explained.

"I see myself continuing until I'm 37, 38 or even 39. I still have many years ahead," he said. "If I can grow up with Haas, then yes why not? But if I am given a car to win a grand prix, I am ready to do that today," he added. (GMM)

  • I admit my views are biased, but I can help but getting annoyed by this. Grosjean had the nerve to talk about his Ferrari aspirations immediately after joining Haas. Which I thought was tactless. He was clearly trying to work his way into Ferrari. However, after underperforming, whining, and earning disdain from the rest of the grid, he now finds himself saying 'he'd be happy to grow at Hass.' I defended and supported Grosjean when he was recovering from his first lap nutcase reputation. He was focused, happier, and more importantly performing. Now... I think he's ready to move on to Formula E

    • I find myself agreeing with you on this. Grosjean wasnt ever really in my list of favourite drivers, but I did consider him a good driver. I've grown pretty tired of his greedyness for that Ferrari seat, combined with his constant nagging on other driver and blaming others for incidents he himself caused. And now it has turned out that he cant handle potential brake issues that doesnt seem to faze KMag. Im not impressed. I dont think he is heading for FE... yet... But Im pretty sure he'll remain a "lost driver".
