Head of Red Bull junior driver programme Dr Helmut Marko has stated that Daniil Kvyat possesses more talent than Brendon Hartley and Pierre Gasly. The Red Bull junior team demoted Kvyat twice during the 2017 season, first before the Malaysian Grand Prix as Gasly made his debut.
However, with a seat available for the US Grand Prix, Kvyat was brought back only to be dropped completely from the Red Bull programme following the race. Toro Rosso confirmed not long after that Gasly and Hartley would make up its driver line-up for next year.
When asked by Autosport if Kvyat was more talented than the current Toro Rosso drivers, Marko replied: "Yes, I completely agree. Unfortunately, he just showed it in his first year with Toro Rosso and in his first year with Red Bull Racing.
"After that his performance drastically went down. He had brake and tyre issues, that [Daniel] Ricciardo didn't have. In short, something happened to him mentally. He lost his speed and his ease. We don't know [what it was].
"We tried many things, but his speed just wouldn't come back. Unfortunately we have no idea what happened. There were also too many accidents at the start of a race, and he didn't react too well to it either. He retreated into his shell and didn't want anybody to tell him what to do."

Well I would too but don’t do Assbook or Twatter unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your viewpoint). Good luck with it anyway..

What I like about Facebook is that you can keep in touch with pen pals and such in an easier way, and share important or inspiring things (I mean legit inspiring, not just "I went on the loo today!" or other "major events"). It also helps in getting news about new nice tech stuff and concerts and so on. And TBH, their Messenger app is far better than Skype's. That aside, yeah, I dont use actual Facebook that much myself, but it has its pros.

Then again, that isnt exactly Red Bull's style, is it? They are very much for "tough parenting". And Marko hasnt exactly been praising his current juniors as of late, so this is very consistent with his belief that he currently doesnt have a Verstappen 2.0 hidden among his juniors, GAS and HAR included. But time will tell, they didnt look impressive the few races they had in 2017, but for all we know they might do better next year.

I also think that Kvyat has more talent. The only problem is his mental state. He can't handle the pressure.

I really hope that Danyl gets his chance at Williams and if not than my second choice is Pascal. They are both good young drivers and deserve a second chance.
Unfortunately its all about money but maybe Danyl will find some sponsorship and perhaps Toto can reduce the price for engines in favour for Pascal.

I agree that if he can sort his head out DK would be good for Williams but I don’t know how he compares with Sirotkin? Perhaps the delay in announcing the Drivers is so that Daniil can get a bag of cash from somewhere?

I would like to see Sirotkin vs Kvyat head to head. There used to be plenty of talk about Sirotkin, so he cant be too bad, but is he F1 material, I wonder?
