The Assen circuit has emerged as a viable alternative host for a future return of the Dutch grand prix. With Max Verstappen's popularity, speculation is rising that the Netherlands will soon return to the F1 calendar.
Zandvoort was named as a potential host, but now TT Circuit Assen chief Arjan Bos says the FIA has issued a "positive report" about the suitability of Assen. "We are almost 100 per cent ready for formula one," he is quoted by De Telegraaf newspaper. "Of course, I wish Zandvoort every success, and I think it's admirable how (Zandvoort owner) Bernhard van Oranje is sticking his neck out. But Assen is well beyond Zandvoort," Bos added. (GMM)

Calle.itw: It sounds as if you have never watched the Moto Gp race on the dutch circuit of Assen every year at the end of june, but maybe you are not intererested in motobike racing after all.Otherwise you would have known it i suppose so.

Yes it s a very nice track. Very highly rated among motorbike drivers and fans (Although Mick Doohan hated the track) Much better accessibility than Zandvoort. Wouldnt say they are " 100% ready" but def a viable option.

DANIMAL: Googling it wont help me that much, now will it? Pics are nice, but hardly show if its a good track.
Tifoso: As a matter of fact Im not into Moto GP at all. I like most of what motorsport has to offer, but Moto GP isnt one of those series.
KYALAMIKID: That sounds good.
