Nico Rosberg insists he is still not giving any thoughts to a potential racing comeback. Days after winning the 2016 world championship, the German stunned the motor sport world by suddenly quitting both Mercedes and formula one.
And he now tells Bunte magazine: "I have not ever felt the desire for a comeback as a racing driver." The 32-year-old said his mind is instead focused on potentially adding more children to his young family. "I'm all for having a football team," the father of two daughters smiled. "There is really nothing that has overwhelmed me."
But he admitted that the real decision is his wife Vivian's, after she suffered difficult pregnancies in the past. "The decision is therefore entirely up to her," Rosberg confirmed. (GMM)

Yeah, but I dont think it'd happen even if he'd come back. Im not sure how he feel about Williams ditching him the way they did.

@calle I'm not familiar with that story of Williams ditching him, what happened there? I thought he simply left thanking everyone at Williams

Im not sure actually, but as far as I've heard it didnt seem to be all happy. All I can find is that he said that he didnt think Williams has what it takes to win races, a correct statement mind, but I might remember wrong.

He knows whoever he joined he would never be champion again while ever Lewis is at Merc and the other teams in the mix keep their drivers on side. Sorry but he was lucky once and he knows it.

He is wise. He already got under butthurt boy's skin well and plenty and beat him at his own shitty mind games, that's what allowed Nico to win the title. The same piece of shit got thrashed by Alonso while at Mclaren, needed sugar daddy Ron and the whole team to favor him to even just level with Alonso on points ROFLMAO wot a joke. Some dimwits in here still think butthurt boy is something special. The dipshit cant win without Mercedes rocket ship.
Nico is wise, he has realize in this short life your family is what matters above all else. You win titles and GPs and be a darling of the masses, all for what? When you get in trouble these so called garbage fans are going to help you? Nope, not one fan will give a shit come crunch time. It's your family who will be coming to your aid. This man has got his priorities right, got to respect him for that alone. He has nothing left to prove. He already delivered the smack down on the British butthurt shit head and left the sport in style with a mic drop. You can't write a better script than that.
Deal with it fanbois. XD

The way I see it is that very few, including myself, ever regarded Rosberg as a top 5 driver, let alone championship material. Judging from the challenge he posed for Hammy, its safe to say that we either severely underestimated Rosberg, or severely overestimate Hammy.

And that is problem. You didnt evaluate Nico on raw talent. The hot air around bogus drivers like Hamilton illustrates just that. The guy couldn't do any better with all that support against Alonso. Didnt do anything special against Button. There is too much hip-hop halo effect going on with this guy that's the reason for all the so called "perspective" people tend to have about certain drivers. The media is key here they are brainwashing people into having opinions that are not their own. You may think you are making your own conclusions yet subliminally you are already given what to think, how to view certain drivers.
The same horseshit is going on with Alonso for example, we are constantly told he is the best of this generation, he parrots this hogwash himself shamelessly yet results have shown otherwise, he has lost the titles due to his own stupid drives or moves on track, he has also made blunders in his career choices. There is a driver who is at a different level above all these divas, Vettel, yet there is always something that people have against him and that same yard stick is never used against the other media created "star" drivers. This is typical of media brainwashed viewership. Their feeling not being fond of certain drivers is actually planted into their heads through constant rise repeat media.
Nico is an impressive driver and won that title, what Alonso couldn't do the same at Mclaren. Given all the comments that dimwit Toto has for Nico these days you know for sure Nico was fighting battles on just on track but off the track as well. Nico has proven the point very well but unfortunately not many see it that way. I am willing to bet he simply doesn't give a shit about any these fans who have that view about him. He is wise to focus on his family.

I don't think he's been missed. He was such a colorless character on the grid, except when it came to Lewis. But again that fight very rarely translated to good racing against each other. Finally, their silly rivalry simply made for annoying long faces on the podium every damn race, which I think we were all sick off.
