Formula 1 is set to launch F1 TV, an innovative live subscription service. F1 TV is Formula 1's over the top platform (OTT) and is considered the greatest investment in terms of digital transformations.
Formula 1 fans will get commercial-free live stream coverage of each race with multilingual commentary. Beside that, F1 TV will provide exclusive access to all 20 driver on-board cameras throughout each race session.
Subscribers will have the ability to choose what content they want to view and how and when they access it. Every practice session, qualifying and race will be available live, along with the press conferences, pre and post-race interviews. Subscribers will be also able to watch the live action from the support series (FIA Formula 2 Championship, GP3 Series, Porsche Supercup)
F1 TV will be available in four different languages (English, French, German and Spanish) and will be featured in a lot of markets at launch (Germany, France, USA, Mexico, Belgium, Austria, Hungary and Latin America). Initially, the access will be available via desktop and web, with mobile apps and TV apps being phased on Amazon, Apple and Android. F1 TV Pro will have a monthly range of prices between USD$8-$12, with annual rates priced according to market.
F1 TV Access will be a less expensive, non-live subscription tier. The service will provide live race timing, data, radio commentary and extended highlights of each session from the race weekend. It will also feature unprecedented access to archive video with amazing historic content owned by Formula 1. F1 TV Access will be available on a near-global basis at launch to complement F1 TV Pro.

Oh it sure is dreadful! I'll be able to watch F1 live any time, and with a cheaper service than TV can offer me! The pain is unfathomable.

And I for one like this. Sky, Viasat and similar bullshitty companies need to up their "services", cut costs or pack it.

Well on the face of it I would say I’m a bit disappointed - I’ll keep it polite. They’re going to use our language but not offer the streaming. I’m sure there must be a logical £££££££ €€€€€€€ $$$$$$$ reason. Great idea though, think of all those extra viewers paying to watch a high speed procession.

In Serbia I watch F1 for 30€/year on SportKlub TV. They don't even show commercials during the race.
I won't be subscribing to F1 TV. Not yet anyways. :)
It sounds good though.

This will be blocked in f***all countries where the draconian laws are in place on anything that saves the consumer some money and loss of business to greedy Media corporations. Eg: whole of Middle East, India, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Singapore and maybe even the UK.
Well there is always VPN, provided the service provider of VPN can handle the requirements.
