Following Williams' announcement that George Russell will be making his Formula 1 debut with the team next season, there are just four seats left to fill out for the 2019 grid. Williams is yet to identify who will partner Russell, with Robert Kubica and Sergey Sirotkin the obvious contenders.

Toro Rosso recently announced that Daniil Kvyat would be driving with them for the 2019 season. The Russian will make a comeback after spending the 2018 season with Ferrari as a development driver. However, Toro Rosso is still yet to confirm who its second driver will be, with Alex Albon and Pascal Wehrlein believed to be the favourites.

Force India has also not yet announced who will be racing for them in 2019. But, there will be little surprise when the Silverstone squad confirms that Sergio Perez will stay for a sixth consecutive year, partnering Lance Stroll.

    • Stroll should worry to be measured against Perez, and Perez is not the most sought after talent on the paddock.

Perez is the top10 driver, and an ex. Ferrari Academy Driver. They don't get newbs to their academy. So... Its even hard to compare Stroll on paper against Checo.

  • Russell? Thats interesting, I look forward to see how he will perform. I think Perez and Stroll for Force India, while STR probably stick to Hartley or some of their RB reserves. That aside, man what a silly season. As far as I can see, only 2 teams have remained constant, and thats Haas and Merc'. The rest has been some wild shit.

Perhaps the wild shit will continue. I wouldn't be surprised if Toro Rosso signs Alex Albon, he did well against Leclerc in GP3 and this year in F2 he's doing really well. Also, apparently there are paddock rumors saying that Sirotkin might not enjoy the same financial backing next year. Perhaps he's not a shoe in at Williams. What if Williams actually signs Ocon or Kubica to partner Russell. If so, if we find Albon or Wehrlein at Toro Rosso and Ocon or Kubica at Williams, then with the exception of Stroll we might be looking at the most talented grid in ages.
