Tatiana Calderon has successfully completed her second Formula 1 outing with Sauber, driving the 2013 C32 over the course of the weekend. The Colombian driver took the car out around Ferrari's test circuit, Fiorano, on Saturday and Sunday.
The GP3 racer drove a Formula 1 car for the first time last month in Mexico, getting behind the wheel of the C37 for a filming day. Her experience in Fiorano was much more detailed, as she completed 202 laps over the course of two days.
It was Calderon's first time at the Fiorano circuit, which she described as 'interesting': "It was a really great first experience driving in Fiorano," she said on Saturday. "The track is interesting, and the atmosphere is special. The air and track temperatures were quite low today, but consistent.
"Our target was for me to learn the track and find a good balance for the car, which we achieved. Driving the Sauber C32-Ferrari feels incredible, and the sound and power of the V8 engine are amazing."
The second day of running consisted of Calderon doing race and qualifying simulations on Pirelli's promotional tyres. Her fastest lap, which was set in cold conditions, was a 0:53.802: "We focused on qualifying simulations in the morning, and long-runs in the afternoon.
"Overall, the past two days have been very beneficial to my development and I have gained valuable experience. The team did a great job in the preparation as well as the implementation of my programme and I felt comfortable in the car as well as on the track. I look forward to putting what I have learned to practice."

Sadly, at best I just think she'll be another Susie Wolff. :/
