Force India has confirmed that Lance Stroll will drive the VJM11 at the post-season Pirelli test in Abu Dhabi. Stroll has not yet officially been confirmed as a full-time driver by the team for the 2019 season, however an announcement is expected in the coming days.
Stroll is set to partner Sergio Perez next year after Lance's father, Lawrence, led a consortium of investors in August to purchase the team and save it after it fell into administration.
Stroll's arrival will come at the expense of Esteban Ocon, who will hold the role of Mercedes' reserve driver next year. Force India confirmed that Stroll would drive the car for the first time on Tuesday in the afternoon, before having it to himself for the whole day on Wednesday.
The post-seaosn test is used by teams to give young drivers experience or drivers who will be joining for the following season. Kimi Raikkonen will be making his return to Sauber for the test, Charles Leclerc will have an outing for Ferrari, and Daniil Kvyat will start his comeback with a day's work at Toro Rosso.
