Racing Point has announced that it will launch its new car on February 13th, one week before pre-season testing kicks off in Barcelona. The team will take the wraps off the new car at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto.
Racing Point becomes the second team to announce its launch date after Ferrari confirmed that its 2019 challenger would be displayed for the first time on February 15th, two days after the date Racing Point has decided on.
The Silverstone based squad is expected to have a new name before the commencement of the 2019 season. During the summer break, the team was purchased from administration by a consortium of investors led by Canadian businessman Lawrence Stroll.
The company called itself 'Racing Point', but had to keep 'Force India' as part of its name until the end of the season. On the official 2019 FIA entry list, it appeared as 'Racing Point', but stated that it was a placeholder name.
The team keeps Sergio Perez for a sixth consecutive year, but has brought in Lance Stroll from Williams to replace Esteban Ocon. The team finished in seventh place in the 2018 season, despite competing in just one half of the campaign.

Will the pink livery disappear though? I believe Ocon was kinda responsible for bringing BWT on board, so I assume they will walk away alongside him?

I think you are correct. BWT to Williams?

Interesting, I didn't know that. While I thought the Pink sponsorship was unique and interesting, it was definitely not my favourite Force India livery. Whatever the case, these guys have donea good job attracting sponsorship. I am sure they will be fine, particularly with the new funding. I am very excited to see what Racing Point can do with a proper budget.

Probably, though whether the pink will move with the sponsoring or not remains to be seen. I will certainly miss the pink panther, it was one of the more interesting liveries in quite a while thanks to just having pink. I hope we'll get to see some pink next year, but also green (the petrol on the Merc' cars doesnt really count, since it aint proper green, 'sides their main colour is silver) and some full black (Rich Energy has gold and black, so they could stand for that, which would be neat, miss those colours). Also hope STR will keep their current livery, its a personal favourite, with or without Honda.

As long as the livery is themed thereafter, and the car is shaped like one of those strollers designed for twins Im all for that name!

@Calle ... It is a consortium ... they may all want an advert.
I'd love to see the "British Racing Green" again, on someone else's car.
If it is mostly a Canadian's money, then it should be Canadian red and white. At least put the Canadian flag on it.

And of course they need to use Canadian maple syrup instead of oil from now on.

My guess is that it will disappear. Mr Stroll will want to put his own mark on that team.

That would be Tommy Hilfiger and/or Michael Kors.

Well Tommy is with Mercedes GP now. Michael Kors would be a great sponsor in F1. Much more natural fit than BWT

And Michael Kors probably have the money to put some decently placed stickers on a car to boot, maybe even a title sponsorship. Any other potential candidates for such a deal?
