Ferrari has successfully booted up its engine for the 2019 season at its factory in Maranello. The team had fitted the new engine to its chassis and recorded the audio of its fire-up at its Italian headquarters.
Ferrari enters the 2019 season on the back of two years of championship defeat. Sebastian Vettel, who joined in 2015, lost out on the drivers' title to Lewis Hamilton, while Ferrari failed to dethrone Mercedes in the V6 hybrid era.
Vettel has a new teammate this year in the form of Charles Leclerc, who replaces veteran Kimi Raikkonen. The team also has a new team principal, with former technical boss Mattia Binotto taking over the role from Maurizio Arrivabene.
Ferrari is set to launch its 2019 challenger on February 15th, on the week leading up to pre-season testing in Barcelona.

That engine will be a beast once again. They need to worry more about firing up a certain german driver in their lineup who doesn't seem to be able to last the entire season without fizzling out

Yeah, I really think this engine will be a beast. Now they just need to keep up the development until the end of the season, a weakness Renault and Ferrari have in common.

Nevermind, Leclerc will win it. Hopefully.

I wont hold such high hopes for his first season in a big team, but if he does I will jump on that train with the eager I usually only reserve for anything Honda or cakes.
