Daniil Kvyat has topped the third day of pre-season testing from Barcelona, setting a 1:17.704 in the final minutes of the session.
Kimi Raikkonen was the longtime session leader, as his time from the morning session was only beaten by the Russian. The Iceman ended the session in second place, just over half a tenth down on Toro Rosso driver.
Daniel Ricciardo was third for Renault, and had a bit more of a successful day as he managed to clock 80 laps in the R.S. 19 - the most he has done so far this week.
Sebastian Vettel followed in fourth place, making it the first time since pre-season testing started on Monday that a Ferrari failed to top a session. Max Verstappen was fifth for Red Bull, as it did most of its running in the afternoon session.
Nico Hulkenberg was sixth, followed by Romain Grosjean in a Haas that broke down three times throughout the day - twice when Grosjean was in the car and once when Fittipaldi was behind the wheel.
Williams managed to get testing, with George Russell setting 23 laps in the afternoon. His fastest time was five seconds away from his nearest competitor, however.
Mercedes clocked up a massive 182 laps throughout the day, with Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton splitting duties.

Good showing from Honda again, and Alfa again looks pretty handy. If this is at all representative, we could actually see Alfa going past Haas this year. Meanwhile, Williams puts the W in Winnot.

Would make for a fun season if Merc were down at the bottom mixing it with Williams. Here’s hoping.
