Jim Clark museum to open in July

The Jim Clark Motorsport Museum will open on July 11th, in Duns, Scotland, honouring the two-time Formula 1 world champion.

The museum will showcase a number of Clark's memorabilia and trophies that he won and collected during his racing career. Two of his Formula 1 cars will also be present in the museum. 

The museum has been in development for the last five years and is receiving funding from Scottish Border Council, Live Borders, the Jim Clark Trust, the Jim Clark Memorial Room Trust as well as the Heritage Lottery Fund, Museums Galleries Scotland and individual donations.

The Jim Clark Trust stated they are developing a tourist trail through the local area which will allow people to see locations associated with his life.

Clark won two F1 world championships with Lotus in 1963 and 1965, as well as the Indianapolis 500 in 1965. 

He was killed at a Formula 2 race at Hockenheim in 1968 at the age of 32.
