Robert Kubica could take part in some free practice sessions with Haas next year as part of a potential role with the team.
Kubica will leave Williams at the end of the 2019 season after joining it last year as a development driver before taking on a full-time driver role for the current year.
The options for the Polish driver are limited for 2020 as he is aiming to remain racing, with DTM believed to be an option for Kubica.
However, he could remain part of the F1 paddock as GPToday.net understands that PKN Orlen, Kubica's main sponsor, held talks with Haas, who is searchign for a new title sponsor following the end of its partnership with Rich Energy.
Haas has already locked in its drivers for 2020, confirming that Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean will remain for another year.
Any potential role for Kubica at Haas would also involve simulator driving, boosting the American's team development line-up, as it already has Pietro Fittipaldi carrying out work for it.
Haas has already publicly confirmed its interest in Kubica for a 2020 role, however the one-time grand prix winner is taking his future one step at a time.
"Sometimes we need to do things step by step and not three steps in one go," Kubica recently said. "We will have to wait and see. I don't know what Guenther said but I know what I think and I know what I want to do."

Unlikely unless haas is really stuck for cash. To even use a simulator let alone test a car, they would have to provide alternative software and hardware, making results not consistent for their two contracted drivers.
Kubice and his input, dragged williams down so we do not want him pulling another team down. Plenty of better drivers available

As for alternative software and hardware, the drives can customize their 20 odd buttons on the steering wheel any way ;p
When you dont have parts for a car, and one car gets the upgrades before the other.... wonder which car out of the 2 got the parts first ;p

Honestly, the customer teams will all grab whatever cash they can get. And an oil company like what sponsors Kubica is far more reliable than Rich Energy ever could be.

niids. fyi i have been a follower of F1 since its inception and i have probably forgotten more than you will ever know ! also i have been a successful competitor in motor sport for years , so, yes, i fully am converasant with kubica and his ability. he has ONE gp win due to luck and has not the abilitity to help a team progress. i admire his courage, but he has to accept that he does not deserve to be in F1

it would be yet bearable if you said he's slow, old and/or handicapped, but impling he's a brake preventing Williams from development proves it's not worth to carry on...

niids. i would never hold being handicapped against any driver ! and i do not think that age is a bar to a driver. but i do say that he has dragged williams down. williams were at least a mid field team with some good results until kubica joined them as a test driver. his input was what sent williams down a blind alley.
