Max Verstappen has finished his first Formula 3 test day on a high. The 16 year old Dutchman made his F3 debut today after just nine test with a Formula Renault 2.0 car. The test day ended perfectly during the fourth session with the fastest time ever with a Formula 3 car on the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia.

The previous track record was driven during a test session in December last year by Tom Dillmann. Also driving for Team Motopark, Dillmann set a 1:24.941, whilst Verstappen beaten this time with a 1:24.832.

During the day, the four F3 sessions were dominated by the son of former F1 driver Jos Verstappen. Tom Blomqvist was the only driver who could stay close to the Dutchman. Verstappen will continue testing tomorrow.
