The manager of Mick Schumacher, son of Michael Schumacher, has rubbished any suggestion that the 17-year-old might soon graduate to Formula One, following in the footsteps of fellow teenager Max Verstappen.

Schumacher Jr, spent the German Grand Prix weekend in the F1 paddock, visiting both Mercedes and Ferrari garages, two of his legendary father's former teams, sparking rumours of a planned switch to the pinnacle of motorsport in the near future.
Speaking of the young German, Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff said: "He (Mick) is such an impressive young man."

"He is friendly, modest, well behaved -- everything you want from a teenager," he told the German broadcaster Sky."

Despite suggestions from Wolff that the young Schumacher should be looking towards a future in Formula One, his manager Sabine Kehm poured cold water over the suggestion.

"At the moment Mick is doing Formula 4 in Germany and Italy," she told the Kolner Express newspaper. "The next logical step is formula 3, where he will soon do another test."

Schumacher is currently competing in Italian and German Formula Four and he currently sits second in the points in both series with three pole and three wins in each championship.
