It is with great pleasure that Trident announces its first GP3 driver, Roman De Beer. The 19 year old South African, has already been at the wheel of Trident's car during the most recent post season testing in Abu Dhabi and decided to continue the great job started with the Italian team by becoming an official member of the GP3 Drivers line-up for 2014.
Roman, born in Alberton and living in Johannesburg, started his motoracing career at the age of 5, participating in Italian Formula Abarth and Italian Formula 3. He is the 2009 winner of the World Junior Rok and, to this day, is one of the biggest prospects in South African motorsport.
Roman De Beer (Trident) commented: "We are all working hard towards the 2014 season hoping for the best results. With a competitive series like GP3, expectations are always difficult to achieve but with determination and team work, everything is possible. Its one of the best series and I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious event. I am very excited and ready to do my utmost! I would like to thank all the people who are making it possible to help me one step closer to my dream."
