Julien Falchero is the latest driver to be announced for the 2017 grid as the Frenchman joins Campos. The 19 year old spent two years in Formula Renault, competing in the Eurocup 2.0, the Alps, and the NEC championships. Falchero tested a GP3 car in the latter stages of 2016 at Abu Dhabi and reportedly showed promising pace.
“A new challenge in 2017 in GP3 Series with Campos Racing is an extraordinary opportunity," said Falchero. "The tests in Abu Dhabi and the integration within the team in Valencia in Spain are a real treat for me. I’m going to prepare for the best physically this season 2017 and have as Coach a great former French F1 driver, Jean-Pierre Jarier, who agreed to take care of me with the goal to occupy the first places on the grid.”
Founder and team principal Adrian Campos said: “I´m very happy to welcome Julien to our team. We really worked well together in Abu Dhabi. We were impressed by his maturity and I´m sure we can have a good season.”
