Porsche won their third race of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship season at the weekend, as Mark Webber, Brendon Hartley and Timo Bernhard beat Audi's pair of R18 e-tron Quattros.

The winners crossed the line almost a minute clear of the second placed Audi in what was was the reigning champion lineup in the #1 car's first win of the year.

The Audis both let the race early on until Porsche moved to the fore at the halfway point. The #2 car held a slim lead over the eventual winners until the final third of the race when it made contact with traffic which dropped it down to fourth.

Toyota had a quiet race finishing fifth and sixth while Rebellion Racing took privateer honours after the ByKolles entry caught fire.

Signatech Alpine won their third LMP2 race in a row, heading home RGR Sport by Morand and the second Extreme Speed Motorsports entry.

In GTE Pro, Ferrari took a one-two finish with Gianmaria Bruni and James Calado heading Davide Rigon and Sam Bird with the Aston Martin of Nicki Thiim and Marcos Sornenson in third.

The Danish due had led the class for much of the race until a late green-flag pit stop ruined their race.

Aston Martin did however take GTE Am honours with Pedro Lamy, Mathias Lauda, and Paul Dalla Lana beating the KCMG Porsche and the AF Corse Ferrari 458.
