Reigning world champion
Lewis Hamilton has bad news for his rivals, as he intends to "dominate even more" in 2015. With
Mercedes and his teammate
Nico Rosberg, the silver-clad outfit utterly dominated last season, but the new W06 car has also appeared unbeatable in winter testing.
"It's an evolution," Hamilton, who has been nominated for the prestigious Laureus world sportsman award, said. "The cars are going to be evolutions of last year's cars, so it'll be the same people that we were racing with last year," he told the official Laureus website.
The 30-year-old said 2014 was arguably "the best year" in his eight-year F1 career, but "We want to be better this year, we want to try and dominate even more". "I feel good about this year," Hamilton added. "Well, you know what, to be honest, at this point of the year, you don't really know how you feel. I feel fresh, I feel fit. I will plan to drive as good as I did last year, but I want to be better."
That doesn't mean he doesn't want a fight, as he predicts Red Bull and
Williams to be strong again but also hopes
McLaren and
Ferrari improve "so that we have more people to race". "Yes, the more people the merrier. Most importantly, if the cars are close you can have real races where you're overtaking and battling and that's what I love doing," said Hamilton. (GMM)

I agree that Mercedes looks pretty formidable and appears to be the team to beat again this year. I also expect Hamilton to again do yeoman's work for the team and to win often.
However, I would suggest that he also concentrate on getting his new contract squared up sooner than later. Recall that Toto announced last Fall a desire (and intention) to have the new deal with Hamilton inked before Melbourne, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Not a good thing, I think, to piss-off Toto.
