Lotus have decided to retain the services of Pastor Maldonado, shortly after learning that Romain Grosjean may be leaving for Haas Racing.
Maldonaldo will enter a 3rd season with the team and so far he has earned the team 14 Championship Points, with 7th in Canada and Austria being his best finishes.
Lotus will also confirm there second driver verry soon and it is looking less likely that it will be Romain Grosjean. As a close confident of the Frenchman told F1i.com that he will join up with the Haas Project for next year. Last Thursday Grosjean admitted during the Press Conference that he has decided his future already.
Renault Sport F1 managing director Cyril Abiteboul admitted to Canal+ on its show 'The Grid' that it was a shame Renault had not factored retaining Grosjean in to its takeover negotiations at Lotus.
We now wait on either Lotus or Grosjean to make the next step.
