Unconventional day of Sunday Qualifying saw Q3 abandoned due to the weather conditions, meaning the times from Q2 stood legitimately as a result. The weather also swallowed Carlos Sainz's fortunes, aquaplaning off the track and ending his chances of matching the ever so impressive Verstappen's effort of making Q3.
Alonso's new Honda Power Unit fired him up to 9th place, whereas team mate Button bemoaned the track conditions, stating how undrivable and unsafe it was, Kimi Raikkonen also took the same view.

Would be so nice for him if he could finally get a win, since the bad luck last time and the foul move from his team mate in Japan, I definitely think he deserve this win.
